Eh, no. The pipe isn't for the generator, it's for the cooling system. The generator itself works on passive energy pellets.

Looks a bit strange for a cooling pipe. Cooling rarely needs a pipe at all, a generator with a radiator would do, though it could be a way to "flush" the overheated fluid, why frush upwards I have no clue.
